- The Génesis of the Form
Like music and time, form and process are linked to each other.
Natural phenomena may be conceived as processes in the search of their
resulting shape. This is the creative principle of nature, where the
form is in perpetual change, in continous interaction with the
environment. Genesis of the Form
is a musical and visual promenade through
the relation betwenn form and process in art and science.
It has been created by an heterogeneous group of biologist,
physics, visual artists and musicians, with similar passion
for gathering links between science and art.
The show has live music which ushers the audience
through images. Music has been composed by Rafael D. Buscalioni
and is played by a group of five musicians. Genesis of the Form
is ment for all sort of audience and ages; including youngs and kids
for whom we expect to atract their curiosity for science
by the beauty of the images and music.
The performance shows processes and forms in growing complexity.
Starting from what we call "pure forms", closed by their simmetries,
and concluding with open and changing forms which feed themselves
from their interaction with the environment.
Natural shapes, which are also revealed, or inspired in contemporary art.
And other forms which self-organize
upon inner forces made of love and hate.
And finally, the living forms orchestrated with magical movements,
like the
DNA folding and duplication, the coreography of a cell or embryo
develpment.
Forms and processes.
