The Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN) offers every year a number of positions for researchers interested in working in spanish groups. The "Juan de la Cierva" Program provides 3-year contracts at the postdoctoral level. The prestigious "Ramon y Cajal" Program offers to talented researchers a 5-year contract to pursue a novel and challenging research line. Provided that the two scientific evaluations (in the middle and at the end of the 5-year period) are satisfactory, the position can be converted into a permanent contract.
